What kind of people are EFN farmers?

The EFN is driven by a steering group of farmers who all have a combination of the following attributes:

  1. Well recognised and respected within their community as successful farmers with a long term track record.
  2. Interested and innovative in the development and adoption of new farming techniques
  3. Willingness to disseminate information to other farmers in order to improve livelihoods.
  4. Proactive links into animal welfare organisations, government, industry bodies and food companies.

Currently EFN has UK farmer members who together with FAI and Compassion form the steering group. Links have recently been made with farmers in Holland. EFN is in the process of drawing together other pioneer farmers from across Europe and the success stories of these systems will be told through this website, articles, demonstration days and media coverage.
